Over the last year I had to move in and out of my beautiful home twice, and it was so much easier with a great company like Movers by the Sea taking the load literally off my back. With Elena leading the charge, and a wonderful team like Kenny, Jimmy, Chris, and too many others that time and age has caused me to forget, this challenging job was flawlessly accomplished. With newly plastered and painted walls and new doors, had there been a scratch my lovely and normally gentle bride would hung them up, one by one, by their privates. Fortunately for all, again perfect! Thanks team, and I hope I never have to use you again. But that’s not your fault, it’s mine. I’m so just tired of moving.

Johnny brought a whole team of six guys to move our 800 pound bathtub from our garage to our newly remodeled bathroom! It was a huge process and endeavor. They truly went above and beyond. Johnny came out right away to take a look at the site, ordered extra supplies so they would be prepared, showed up on time, and they were done in one hour. This was not in expensive, but they did an excellent job. Sometimes it’s worth the extra money. No damage to our floors or walls, which have been recently repainted. They lay down blankets and plywood to help ensure everything stayed pristine. Let me just say...Wow! What an amazing experience! I've moved locally and cross country with other moving companies and NO ONE can compare to Movers by the Sea. Their team of moving professionals took the stress out of my move. They are attentive, respectful, and made me feel like family. All the gentleman were super cool and showed me that they genuinely care about my belongings. I had to move shortly after losing my grandmother and wasn't really feeling up to it. We decided to choose Movers By The Sea based on the stellar reviews. We ran into a few small delays/slight inconveniences during the move itself since one of the movers had to to leave half-way through the job due to unforeseen circumstances.After calling to voice some of our concerns Johnny, who is the owner, reached out to us and was very cordial and understanding. He came to us personally to make sure everything was accomplished and even offered us a partial refund to accommodate the fact that a smaller crew had to finish the job.I can tell you based on my interaction with him and his company and crew, that service and customer satisfaction are absolutely the top priorities.I wholeheartedly recommend Movers By The Sea and will be calling them promptly should we require another move in the future!

Movers By The Sea was so wonderful to work with from speaking to Elena about my needs to the last box dropped off in my storage unit. One of the only companies that didn't require a 3 hour minimum, as my move only took 1.5 hours. It was smooth from start to finish with excellent communication throughout. Deerk, DD and Zachary were friendly and communicated well, and were even protective of me with regard to my surroundings around the storage facility. I can't thank everyone involved enough for such a quick and easy transition.

Highly recommended! We had 3 movers, Chris, Selso and Zak. They were great! Each had their specialty and took care of business. Access was tricky and Chris handled the truck with great skill. He also had an excellent ability to size things up and prioritize. The move was a bigger project than we had anticipated, but that was our error not theirs. The guys worked tirelessly and couldn't have been any more efficient or careful. Scheduling and billing all went very professionally with Zak and Elena. No complaints at all. I hope they are still around if we have to move again. Thank you!

After 26 moves around the world I can tell you that Movers by the Sea has been the best moving company we have ever used. My corporate career had me move to Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, Australia and all over the United States to name a few locations. After a little research, I decided to hire Movers by the Sea to move us from Leucadia to Carlsbad this month. From my first phone call with Elena, I knew they were good. She was super efficient, and has a wonderful demeanor, which helps make a stressful activity a breeze.While the move was only 5 miles away as the crow flies, Max, Zachary, Derek and Chris were absolute professionals and worked without any breaks. They arrived on time, wrapped our furniture individually with plastic, then with new movers blankets and then again with plastic to ensure nothing was damaged. As a result of their excellence there wasn't a scratch on anything! They not only protected the furniture but also took the time to ensure nothing happened to either home during the process. After an entire half day of hunting for a company who might be willing to do a single item move involving a large couch and some narrow stairs in our townhome, I called this company on a Sunday with a last minute same day request. Johnny took my call late in the evening and had a great attitude from the get go. He was so much more open to helping us than anyone else I had contacted that day, and I immediately felt a positive vibe when he was very willing to work with me despite my difficult request. He offered to come out within the hour just to see if it was even feasible, and offered a very reasonable rate for his off-hour time commitment. He made some really good attempts with us and when we were unsuccessful that night in moving our couch up the stairs, he let us use what we had already paid towards a hoisting service to guarantee a successful move. We immediately got penciled in for the following morning and Johnny brought a team of 3 other guys who smoothly moved our new couch through the balcony onto the second floor of our home in less than an hour without leaving a single scratch. They took such great care and precaution to protect my home and my furniture.I really can't say enough how appreciative I am that this company came through for us. Right from the start I felt like we were working with someone who would always be willing to go the extra mile for you. Being willing to accommodate such a difficult move so late in the day, and being so honest and down to earth about the logistics and the financials surrounding the move... it's really rare to find people so earnest. I am so grateful my husband and I found these guys to complete our job and it saved us a real headache. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in our area for any move, big or small. Our home was being remodeled, and we needed to move our household items and furniture into a storage pod and garage. From my first phone call to Johnny to returning all the items from the pod and garage back into our home, Johnny and his crew were professional, on-time and worked hard! They were careful wrapping the furniture and placing them in the pod, and were just as conscientious putting the items back in our home. I even asked Johnny to put felt pads on some of the furniture and he accommodated my request. That's great service!Johnny answered my calls and if he wasn't available, he returned them promptly. I'm sorry that I can't remember all of the guys' names, but each one was hard-working and great. I only needed a sofa moved from one room to another. The sofa is big and I had been struggling with getting it through the doorway for several weeks. Best movers and moving experience I’ve ever had. Johnny was responsive, friendly and helpful. I mentioned handling the move myself to keep expenses down, and instead of pressuring me, he explained everything I should do to protect my belongings. I eventually called back because of how impressed I was with the customer service and I knew it would be worth it. The movers, Zach and Larry were the best. I was a scuba dive instructor that lived in Carlsbad and was relocated to Oceanside. Johnny and has crew really took care of me and my families belongings. I wasn’t aware that there was a moving company that could move so fast and make sure things are done ASAP and moved so fast and professional. My furniture looked better when it went into my new home than before they moved me! The owner was so cool to give me such an amazing moving deal with no hidden fees. I set up my move with Jesse, who gave me only good advice. I moved on a Sunday & Jesse wasn't working but he sent three able bodied professionals who worked hard and smart. I rented a 26' truck and they loaded it front to back, top to bottom I drove it 160 miles in a truck that woulda made a great milkshake and the only thing the only thing that got broken was by the guys who unpacked me at the other end (not Jesse's crew)Great job all around, thanks guys

Part of my stuff had to be packed and put in storage, the rest to my new home. Mikey and Edwin meticulously packed and moved all my stuff, and up a flight of stairs as well. It took 11 hours, with absolutely no damage and everything was put in its place. Not cheap, but the work was A+.

Yes we do! Our movers will disassemble your furniture and make sure to keep up with all hardware so they can properly reassemble when they arrive at your new home.
If you know that you can not complete your packing by your scheduled moving day, please give us a call with as much notice as possible. We can add our packing services to your original quote as long as you give us ample time to coordinate. If you have not finished packing and only need a few things packed the day of your move we are usually able to safely pack your belongings the day of. *Addtional fees may apply
Pack any loose items that can fit in a box to ensure that your move goes as smoothly as possible. You may keep folded clothes in dresser drawers but remove any small or fragile items that can shift during the moving process. For extra-heavy furniture pieces, we advise you to empty these drawers to lighten the weight for your movers.
